From the Pastor
Last week when I said we were going to end the year with a bang, this is not what I had in mind! When the realization began to hit early last week that Alana and I had Covid we were both so discouraged. Not now, not right in the middle of the busiest and most exciting time of the year.
The truth is, this emphasizes our theme, Celebrate 365, as much as anything else. The true joy of Christmas is not based on our circumstances but on our Savior. Everyday we have reason to celebrate. We are sinners saved by grace; we are adopted into the family of God; we have direct access to the Creator of the world! The world needs to see in us a celebration that can never be silenced. Yes, this Christmas season looks and feels differently from any other I have ever experienced. Don’t be discouraged. Don’t give into frustration. The true joy of Christmas is alive and well and needs to be seen!
Thank you for all the prayers, texts, and love you have shown Alana and I. We can’t wait to be back with you soon. Enjoy Pastor Ben this morning and continue to pray for the health and safety of one another and for Christ to be clearly seen! We love you.
