December 13, 2020

December 14, 2020 By Kali Hebert

From the Pastor

What do you really want out of Christmas? Out of life? We want our hearts to be FULL. FULL with the overflowing warmth and love of family and friends, of joy and peace, and of special moments and memories. My desire every year is for the night where I am sitting on the couch with Alana, all the lights are on, the kids are in bed, and I look over; and she is crying. She’s crying because she’s happy, she’s FULL, and she wants life to always be this way.

The reality is, life won’t always be this way. Life is a journey and from one year to the next things are always changing. The only way to keep the joy of Christmas alive and experience a life that is FULL is to follow Christ. There is no avoiding tears, suffering, death, and danger. No matter how hard we try, it will always be a part of life. In the midst of it all, God wants to fill your life with family and friends, with joy and peace, with moments and memories. He wants to pour out His blessings all over your life. The journey of following Christ is FULL – Celebrate the Journey!

This morning we are also celebrating a great work God has done! Remember that there are three phases to every great work of God. Impossible, Difficult, then Done! Praise the Lord we serve a God willing and able to do the impossible!

Pastor Mike Brown
