WHAT IS FAITH BASED RECOVERY?
We offer a faith-based addiction recovery program that uses truths found in Biblical perspectives to help those suffering from addiction. This program is free to anyone who needs it and can help with triumph over any type of addiction. Our goal is to help people come to recovery through faith in Christ and the understanding that this same faith can save them from their addictions. Come join others that are working to overcome their addictions, find community, and find recovery.
WHY FAITH-BASED RECOVERY?
An overwhelming 1 in 10 Americans have an addiction problem. In 2019, 70,630 drug overdose deaths occurred in the United States, an increase of 4% from the previous year (CDC.gov), and about 88,000 people die as a result of alcohol (AddictionCenter.com). Thankfully, faith-based recovery works! More than 84% of scientific studies show that faith is a positive factor in addiction prevention or recovery and an estimated 20,000+ lives are saved every year because of faith-based recovery programs in churches!
Still skeptical about faith-based recovery? Watch the video below to learn more and hear from real people in our church that have been helped by this program.
Our recover program meets every Friday night from 7-9pm.
Everyone is welcome and you can join us at 5621 Highway 90, Milton, Fl 32583
This program has helped me to develop a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. I struggled with drug and alcohol addictions and self-defeating behavior. Everytime something good was going to happen I would always self-destruct. And I learned that having a relationship with Jesus was different than religion. I was always striving for perfection and trying to do all the right things, that I would give up and end up going backwards because “why try” if God just wants you to be perfect. And one day it was like the Lord Spoke to me and said, “Hey I want a relationship with you and I want what’s best for you.” Not only has my mental health improved from hearing voices and being on multiple medications, to not hearing voices and not being on any medication, to now finishing college and being a medical assistant at West Florida Medical Center Clinic, and that’s all from a relationship with Jesus Christ. I couldn’t ask for a better life, it’s not perfect and it’s hard sometimes but it’s still the best life I could ever have!-Yvette
