Day #6 | Behold 2028 Devotional

"For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life.” - John 3:16

As we march into the Behold 2028 Capital Campaign with love, we are reminded of John 3:16, “For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.” As we continue to adventure out in faith, may we continue to say yes to God’s loving overtures to us. Knowing that God cared enough to send His only Son, Jesus Christ, to die for our sin, and knowing our true faith has nothing to do with our human efforts or our social statuses, we put our faith in God and say “yes” to showing His people how much He loves them and how much He cares for His lost sheep. We are also reminded in Matthew 9:12 when, at the end of the verse, Jesus was telling the Pharisees that He did not come for the righteous, but for the sinner, the sick, and the lowly at heart, to show them the way to everlasting life. As we go boldly into this campaign, let's do the same! By boldly saying “yes” to God, we will find the lost sheep and show them the way to everlasting life, and just how much God loves them- HOW MUCH GOD LOVES US ALL. With such a bold reminder, may we go hand-in-hand with God through this adventure, our church being a beacon for all those who need to know that God is with us, and through Christ, all things are possible.
