Day #10 | Behold 2028 Devotional
“For as we have many members in one body, and all members have not the same office: So we, being many, are one body in Christ, and every one members one of another.” - Romans 12:4-5
United in Christ, Serving Together
“For as we have many members in one body, and all members have not the same office: So we, being many, are one body in Christ, and every one members one of another.” — Romans 12:4-5
As followers of Christ, we are not called to walk this journey alone. Paul reminds us in Romans 12 that we are part of something greater than ourselves—a body, united in Christ, with each member having a unique role to play. Just as our physical body relies on each part to function properly, so too does the body of Christ.
It is easy to look at the gifts of others and feel inadequate or wish we could contribute in the same way. But God, in His infinite wisdom, has designed each of us with a specific purpose. Some are called to teach, others to encourage, serve, or lead. Each role is vital, and no contribution is too small when done for the glory of God.
When we embrace our unique place in the body, we begin to see the beauty of diversity in unity. The hand cannot do what the foot does, and the eye cannot replace the ear. Yet, working together, they accomplish incredible things. In the same way, when we each use the gifts God has given us, we glorify Him and strengthen the body as a whole.
Let this truth encourage you today: you are an essential part of the church. Whether you are teaching a Bible class, praying for others, welcoming visitors, or quietly working behind the scenes, your role matters. Together, we reflect Christ to a world in need.
Let us commit to building each other up, recognizing and celebrating the gifts of others, and faithfully accepting the roles God has given us. As we serve together, the body of Christ becomes a powerful force for His kingdom.
